This work designs a 60 GHz rhombic patch array antenna with high gain, low sidelobe level (SLL), and reduced area. consists of eight linear serial arrays varying number patches. A slot-coupled center-fed structure substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) is designed to simplify the complex feed network required for direct excitation planar reduce insertion loss. The configuration utilizes quantity ratio patches equivalent taper SLL, rather than use tapered width as in traditional designs, which can achieve gain avoid cumbersome resizing connecting lines. An factor analysis method proposed predict SLL antenna. To form further H-plane -25-dB Dolph-Chebyshev SIW constructed. measured 18.2 dBi, E-plane SLLs are less -20 dB -25 dB, respectively. also simulates reference uniformly excited high-gain 8×10 Compared this antenna, has similar simulated but much lower 23% smaller
